In a world where the dinosaurs never died out and birds built a civilization, Cayenne lives with her mysterious Grandma Pepper in quiet Felicity Forest. She’d rather be reading than adventuring. But when shadowy beasts begin creeping through the forest, Cayenne and her vain, scheme-a-minute best friend Egg go looking for the MacPuffin, a legendary talisman guarded by a secret order of beekeepers. If they don’t find it first, the shadows may swallow Felicity Forest for good.
